How did you do the electric slider?
  5. I take a DC, so it's great!
And, it's almost invisible backside the rear headrests.

Exercise a search, must be hundreds of posts for an electric rear window. I installed 1 iv years ago - use information technology often.

and so do yous remove the oem manual lock from the glass?
  9. I'thou not sure if there is a "new and improved" way of doing the mod (I did mine many moons ago) but-

I just propped the latch in the "open" position with a black rubber cone washer, similar used in kitchen faucets.

I double-sided viscous taped the mounts, for the ram, to the stationary and moving glass panes. I used outdoor 3m xx# hold tape, IIRC.

Wire it up to a DPDT switch, washed.

Exactly once, I had to replace the sticky tape, only on the ram/stationary mountain. You may have to practice it more than often if it is the sunday/heat more than mine. At that time, I thought about using epoxy for the ram mounts but decided that it wasn't necessary. (I have used clear epoxy to mount other metal pieces to glass, and then I know it would piece of work)

Cheers. I was thinking along a different path to implement.

Although, this is really depression on the priority listing. Seems like all tasks are during pandemic.

  11. IIRC, there was a rear window slider modernistic that used some cable associates from a Honda Ridgeline???

Manifestly, there were some Tacoma models with a ability sliding rear window.

Just reviewed a thread where an owner did this to a 2017 model. Wiring is pretty simple. Motor and cable assembly seems reasonable. Window install needs to be done professionally. Final install looks like OEM, which information technology well-nigh is.......

How long does it take to open and close the window with this ram on there? Got a motion-picture show of install?
  15. It'southward slow and a fleck noisy. I'll time it only, information technology probably takes x seconds to fully open up or shut.

    Dang! that seems ridiculously long...
Can't imagine having to wait ten seconds for the window to open every time so I can back my boat or trailer up! :sadviolin:

I simply opened it when I was taking the dogs somewhere. At present there is a car seat in the way so it never gets opened.

It's not worth the modernistic to me. If it came factory I'grand sure I'k sure I would employ it more... simply information technology's one of those "you don't know what you are missing" kind of things.

I currently NEVER use that window so 10 seconds would carp me none.
  19. Hither's pics...

From the dorsum- yous tin just barely encounter the chrome actuator rod at the lower border of the window.

And, I guess I'k as well using a zip tie on the latch, forth with the cone washer.
